Toy-Story 3 = Awesome! (The Facebook Song)

I borrowed the text for this piece entirely from the status-updates of my Facebook friends. The piece simultaneously ridicules and celebrates user-generated content. Once Lee Unkrich (The director of Toy Story 3, the actual movie) saw and tweeted our YouTube video, tens of thousands of Pixar fans shared the video on Facebook.

This piece about the fragmented, contradictory state of the modern world. I still can't tell if the main tune is kitsch or genuine!

The lyrical main theme rolls around in vibrant familiarity, always rocking between the major keys of C# and E. This tension between genuine and mock exuberance is the central irony of the piece.
